Section of screen-shot taken from BBC News yesterday showing Adelaide where Darwin ought to be.
Ahh, the good old BBC. Ultimate authority on all news items, with a policy of making a list and checking it twice before posting… or so they would have us believe. Rob noticed this article on the BBC News website yesterday (now pulled) that showed the South Australian capital of Adelaide in a rather unusual location. You’d think that the name of the state Adelaide resides in, SOUTH Australia, might have been a bit of a clue! They’ve put Adelaide where Darwin ought to be - Darwin being the capital of the NORTHERN territory. Woops, bit of a slip there BBC!
I know, I’ve been neglecting you. I’ve been letting other things get between us. If I were you, I’d break up with me.
I know this will sound like an excuse, but I have been meaning to write. The other day I had big plans to discuss kitchen politics with you. Yesterday I was going to tell you about my diet (which isn’t much of a diet, it simply means cutting out chips/crisps, sweets and alcohol). Yet over a week has passed since I last wrote, and the only real excuse I have for ignoring you is that… well, I’m seeing another blog. I know, it’s heartbreaking, but when push comes to shove I had to pick the blog that needed me most! You, being so strong and independent, don’t need round the clock attention. The other blog meanwhile is still young, still foolish - I have to keep an eye on her all the time. I know what you’re thinking, I’ll probably regret my decision in the long run, but the thing is, what if I don’t? This could be the beginning of a wonderful relationship!
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I do still think of you, and I wish things could be different. Maybe we could try seeing each other part time, on the sly? My other blog doesn’t need to know…!
Sincerely,
Amy.
Apologies for the lack of updates lately. I have some sort of mystery virus that includes feeling queasy all the time, having an absolutely splitting headache, and feeling like my brain is too big for my skull. I’m almost convinced it’s glandular fever, but who knows. Anyway, updates will be less frequent than usual until I’m feeling a bit brighter!
